Using this
specific programme, you can fast-track your Canada immigration application
procedure even as you get the prized Permanent Residence (PR) status in the
nation.
Five
categories are up-for-grabs under the NSNP and these are: the Nova Scotia
Nominee Programme (NSNP)--Entrepreneur Stream, the Nova Scotia Nominee
Programme (NSNP)--Skilled Worker Stream,
International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream, Nova Scotia Demand: Express
Entry Stream, and Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry Stream.
Since the
first two are most commonly used, here these will be discussed.

Nova Scotia Nominee Programme
(NSNP)--Entrepreneur Stream:
If you have
relevant experience in running a business--as either a business proprietor or
senior business executive/manager--and are eager to live in the specific area,
you are eligible. You will have to either launch a new organization /company or
acquire an existing one. You will also have to assertively take part in the
running & supervision of the same, on a daily basis.
Post administering
the firm/company for a time-frame of 1 year, you, as the entrepreneur, could be
given nomination, for the much sought after standing of Permanent Resident. Important:
application to the class is strictly by invitation. It means if you don’t have
the invitation, you cannot use the programme.
Eligibility:
Now let’s
discuss eligibility for the Nova Scotia Nominee Programme (NSNP)--Entrepreneur
Stream.
To begin
with, you must be either 21 years of age or older. You must also state a wish
to reside, on a permanent basis, in Nova Scotia whilst you hold and manage a
Nova Scotia firm/organization. You must possess a net worth of not less than
$600,000 CAD. You must be in a position to make an investment of not less than
$150,000 CAD of your own firm to set-up a firm/organization in the province. You
must show accumulation of the claimed net worth, via lawful methods, duly
verified by NSOI chosen third party experts.
You must possess
a minimum of 3 years experience vigorously managing and holding a firm (not
less than 1/3 rights) OR above 5 years experience in a higher-ranking business
management responsibility. You must also
possess a total of not less than 5 on the CLB (5 in every constituent in
speaking, listening, reading and writing in either of these languages, namely,
English or French. You must conclude an online Expression of Interest (EoI). Last
but not the least; you must obtain an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the Nova
Scotia Office of Immigration.
Nomination Procedure
There are
essentially five key steps to the nomination procedure:
Step 1: Present an EOI
You will
articulate your interest in managing a business and residing in the province,
via concluding an Expression of Interest (EOI), in the form of a brief online
study, providing the needed particulars.
Step 2: Invitation to Apply
The Nova
Scotia Office of Immigration (NSOI) will notify you (if you get high points), and
you will know that invite is being sent to you to present an approved application
to the NSNP.
Step 3: Temporary Work Permit, Business
Establishment
If you are
successful to the NSOI, you will put your signature on a Business Performance
Agreement with the NSOI, systematically detailing your plans to either start or
get hold of a business in Nova Scotia.
Step 4: Request for Nomination
If you fulfill
the terms & conditions of the Business Performance Agreement, you can
afterwards present a petition to be given nomination for the PR standing by Nova
Scotia.
Step 5: Apply for PR
After
receiving nomination, you will submit an application to the CIC for the status
of PR.
Charges
You will
have to dole-out the required Government of Canada immigration charges when you
present your file to the IRCC.
Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) Skilled
Worker Stream
The
NSNP—Skilled Workers is fundamentally meant for qualified labor force, specialists

The scheme
